Hygiene Supplies
Kits with essentials — toothbrushes, soap, socks, menstrual care, and seasonal items.
The National Street Care Initiative brings hygiene supplies, patient vital signs screening, and pathways to healthcare directly to neighbors experiencing homelessness — one block, one conversation, one act of dignity at a time.
Our Mission
NSCI is dedicated to improving the health, dignity, and well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness and other underserved populations through community-based outreach and support.
We provide essential resources, health education, hygiene supplies, patient vital signs screening, and connections to local healthcare and social services — building trust and compassion within the communities we serve. By empowering volunteers and partnering with healthcare professionals, we create pathways toward healthier, more stable lives.
What We Do
Six programs, one ethos: meet people where they are and treat every interaction as the first step toward stability.
Kits with essentials — toothbrushes, soap, socks, menstrual care, and seasonal items.
Plain-language guidance on prevention, nutrition, and managing chronic conditions.
On-site screening to assist and help suggest clinics depending on results.
Warm referrals to local clinics, shelters, mental health support, and social services.
Recurring street visits that build trust block by block, person by person.
Trauma-informed training so every volunteer leads with dignity and competence.
Get Involved
Whether you have ten minutes or ten hours, there is a way to help. Volunteers, clinicians, donors, and community partners all keep NSCI on the street.
